Pane gioiello \u2014 &#8220;jewel bread&#8221; \u2014 comes from this tradition: ceremonial loaves shaped by hand, carved and braided like little embroideries of dough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the Butega we make them the old way: a simple dough of semola, water, and sourdough, and then the patience of fingers that cut, curl, and compose the patterns. Each loaf is different, made for weddings, christenings, anniversaries, or for anyone who wants to bring something unique to the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We make pane gioiello to order, agreeing together on shape, size, and occasion.
