Sa butega de Tzia Domantiglia. The generative logo
At the heart of the house museum’s visual identity is sa pipìa de tzùcuru, the sugar girl: a traditional sweet with an unmistakable human shape, which Tzia Domantiglia was renowned for making throughout the area. Every piece was kneaded and shaped by hand, and each one came out of the oven as a unique figure: no two pipìas were ever the same.
This handmade uniqueness inspired the idea of moving beyond a static logo and designing a generative mark, one that changes every time you look at it, just as Grandma’s sweets did. The eBook tells the story of Tzia Domantiglia, the recipe and memory of the pipìa, and the design journey that led to the living logo, in Italian and English. Inside, the logo is truly generated: every time you open the book, a new one appears.
How to read it
The eBook is a fixed-layout ePub and contains the code of the generative logo. It reads well with these free apps:
- iPhone, iPad and Mac — Apple’s Books app

A sa Biddobranesa. Clothing of the Villaurbana community between the 19th and 20th centuries
The book is a further step in the long research work on the traditional clothing heritage of Villaurbana, carried out with tenacity and rigour by the Associazione Culturale di Tradizioni Popolari Biddobrana and culminating in the three-year project A sa biddobranesa, funded by Fondazione di Sardegna.
The publication presents the results, analysis, observations and materials gathered during the research: the garments of the community between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, photographed and described piece by piece. The book can now be read and downloaded freely on the Sardegna Digital Library of the Region of Sardinia.
